Purpose

Dealer groups routinely buy at auction to fill a perceived gap at one location while a nearly identical unit sits aging at another. Without a cross-location view, buying and wholesaling decisions are made in isolation, destroying value that already exists in the group's portfolio.

Cross-Location Balancer identifies situations where a unit that is slow or oversupplied at one location would have higher velocity and better margin at another — then quantifies the transfer opportunity in estimated days-to-sell improvement and margin preservation.

How It Works

Execution flow. MCP tool calls are shown inline on each step.

↔ Parallel Execution

01
Inventory Gap Mapget_sold_summary

Pull active supply and sold velocity per segment per location to build a gap map: where is each segment undersupplied vs. oversupplied across the group.

02
Stale Unit Identificationsearch_active_cars

Identify units at each location that are stale (DOM > threshold) or in an oversupplied segment — flag as transfer candidates.

03
Velocity Differential Calculation

For each transfer candidate, compare sold velocity in the current location's market vs. the receiving location's market for the same YMMT.

04
Transfer Recommendations

Produce a ranked list of transfer recommendations with estimated days-to-sell improvement and margin preservation per unit.

Limitations

  • Transfer logistics (transport cost, title transfer, reconditioning at receiving store) are not calculated.
  • Analysis assumes units can physically be transferred — franchise restrictions may apply.
  • Does not access DMS — stale unit identification requires active listing data, not internal lot records.
  • US market only.
